<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a touch panel protection device, a method and a program wherein a panel surface can be protected from external force, without having to add special device around the touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: The touch panel protection device 10 includes: a pressing area calculation means 11 for calculating a pressing area of the touch panel including one primary pressing point; an increase rate calculation means 12 for calculating an increase rate of the calculated pressing area per unit time; an increase rate comparison means 13 for comparing the increase rate with a preset threshold; and an alarm output means 14 for outputting an alarm, when the increase rate comparison means 13 detects an increase rate which is not less than the threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
