PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical trouser press which can press trousers and can deodorize a jacket or other articles of clothing. SOLUTION: The vertical trouser press includes a trouser press section and a deodorizing device on the back side of the trouser press section. The deodorizing device includes a suction port and an exhaust port which are arranged on the back side of the trouser press section, a ventilation flue which allows the two ports to communicate with each other, a deodorizing means and an air blower which are arranged in the ventilation flue, and a clothing holding member which is arranged on the back side of the trouser press section by an attaching member so that the held article of clothing may be adjacent to the two ports. The air which is sucked from the suction port facing the article of clothing held by the clothing holding member is deodorized by the deodorizing means and is exhausted through the exhaust port toward the article of clothing by the rotation of the air blower for deodorizing the article of clothing.
