A method for diagnosing the applicability of edaphotopes of rock dumps for phytorecultivation according to vital functions of plant populations includes surveying edaphotopes, collecting plant material, investigating the vitalitet structure of cenopopulations, statistical data processing, computing an index of quality of cenopopulations, building a histogram of structural types of the cenopopulations and diagnosing the state of an edaphotopes. A perennial semi-shrub plant, in particular Silene supina M. Bieb., is used as a phytoindicator. Age structure of the cenopopulations of the species is studied, age spectra are built, the complete or incomplete representation of members thereof is determined, density of the cenopopulations of species is calculated by means of calculating the number of individuals per , occurrence is determined by means of recording the presence/absence of the species at 100 record plots, the effectiveness of seed renewal of plants is determined by means of calculating the number of seeds in a pod, the number of pods per plant, the following morphometric indices of the viability of plants of the species are studied: aboveground mass, root length, the number of shoots and length thereof, and, according to diagnostic characters, vital functions of populations of Silene supina M. Bieb. are determined, according to which the state of edaphotopes of a rock dump and the possibility of settling of plants are estimated. |
