The unit (1) has a disinfectable monitor (2), computer (3), software for processing data, input unit (4), input interface (5) connected with a preparation device (6), and an output interface (7) connected with an external mass data memory (8). The input unit is provided with a disinfectable transparent keyboard, and the monitor is touch-sensitive. The input unit is replaced by a voice control. The memory is integrated into an electronic data processing network. The unit enables data communication by a wireless universal serial bus. An independent claim is also included for a method for determination and documentation of observation of process parameters.
