<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a clip amount while limiting the amplitude of an output signal. <P>SOLUTION: This amplifier 100 includes: an inversion type negative feedback amplifier 20 using an operational amplifier 21; an amplitude limiting circuit 50; and a control circuit 40A. When a signal Vp exceeds predetermined potential, the control circuit 40A generates a control voltage CTL to lower the gain of a VCA 30. The amplitude limiting circuit limits the amplitude of Vp of which the amplitude is thus adjusted.
