DEVICE AND METHOD FOR FORMING IMAGE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for forming an image capable of reducing a job processing time of the whole device by giving priority to a job request high in priority in the device for forming an image which is connected to a network, and varying the waiting time of the job request high in priority in order to accelerate the execution of a job low in priority.

SOLUTION: This device for forming an image includes: a job reception means to receive a job from a user; a use sequence determination means to determine the use sequence of the device for forming an image based on the job reception sequence of the job reception means; a processing time prediction means to predict the processing time of a job low in priority determined by the use sequence determination means; and a waiting time determination means to determine the waiting time of a job high in priority determined by the use sequence determination means. The waiting time of the job high in priority determined by the waiting time determination means is varied based on the predicted processing time of the job low in priority by the processing time prediction means.
