<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that is capable of performing print processing of high performance and high reliability even when a large amount of print data is transmitted from the information processing apparatus to a printing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The information processing apparatus includes: a first acquiring means for communicating with the printing apparatus to acquire the statuses of respective print jobs generated by the information processing apparatus to the printing apparatus, and retaining the statuses as a list of the statuses of the respective print jobs; a second acquiring means for communicating with the printing apparatus to acquire information regarding the respective print jobs retained by the printing apparatus, and retaining the information as a list of the respective print jobs retained by the printing apparatus; and a stopping means for referring to the retained list to stop the transmission of a print job if the number of jobs that have already been transmitted to the printing apparatus by the information processing apparatus is equal to or exceeds a predetermined threshold value or if the number of print jobs retained by the printing apparatus is equal to or exceeds a predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
