PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual space creation system capable of creating a virtual space by using a chair occupied by a user. SOLUTION: A virtual space creation chair 25 transmits a value of a sensor 252 as state information showing the state of the virtual space creation chair 25 (S603) when acquiring a value from the sensor 252 (S601). A virtual space creation client 23 transmits the state information to a virtual space creation server 21 (S613) when receiving the state information (S611). Furthermore, a virtual space chair object is created on the basis of the state information (S615), an avatar arranged on the virtual space chair object is created on the basis of the state information (S617), and the created virtual space chair object and the avatar are displayed in the virtual space (S619). A CPU 231 creates the virtual space chair object corresponding to the user or the other user sharing the virtual space when receiving the state information from the virtual space chair 25 or the virtual space creation server 21.
