PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve certainty in specifying each mobile object when tracking mobile objects. SOLUTION: A mobile object tracking device includes: an object area extracting means 50 for extracting an object area, in which a mobile object exists, from a monitor image; a corresponding means 51 for making the object area correspond to the mobile object on the basis of similarity between an image inside the object area and reference image information representing features on the image for each mobile object; a matrix recognizing means 52 which defines an object area corresponding to a plurality of mobile objects as a matrix area in which a matrix is formed, defines the mobile objects corresponding to the matrix area as matrix objects, and stores in a storage section matrix information including the matrix area, the matrix objects and the order of the matrix objects to be participated in the matrix; and a secession area detecting means 510 for detecting the object area, that secedes from the matrix area, as a secession area. When the secession area detecting means 510 detects the secession area, the corresponding means 51 makes corresponding the matrix object in the first participation order preferentially.
