PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an expandable wearing article which ensures an ideal fitting property to fit the body shape of a wearer by operating in a waist toning-up direction since plane fastening tapes are naturally and diagonally directed downward without performing a special adjustment when wearing the article by fitting the sheet fastening tapes attached to the wearing article such as an expandable diaper. SOLUTION: The plane fasteners are positioned separately from the side edges of an abdominal side front part or a back side rear part and arranged to be linked with the side edges via tape base materials. Tape base material middle parts between the plane fasteners and the side edges are configured so that flexibility of the outer part in the longitudinal direction in a wearing article expanding state is larger than that of the inner part in the longitudinal direction.
