<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a person on the side of a receiving telephone set 5 to recognize who is a communication receiver that a telephone caller desires without asking the telephone caller through the telephone about who is the desired communication receiver. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A communication system includes a calling telephone set 3 which sends a communication start request signal, and a receiving telephone set 5 which receives the sent communication start request signal. The calling telephone set 3 has a signal transmission unit which sends also receiver specification information 21 allocated to the communication receiver in addition to the communication start request signal. The receiving telephone set 5 has a receiving telephone set storage unit 165 which previously stores a notification means corresponding to the receiver specification information 21, and a notification execution unit which executes the stored notification means according to the receiver specification information 21 transmitted from a first communication apparatus.
