<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve gamut mapping processing which reduces a color difference while considering color gradation in colorimetric mapping. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A color space of an input device has a separate colorimetric mapping algorithm corresponding to two cases of an RGB system and a CMYK system, and the system is constituted of a means which uses the colorimetric mapping algorithm according to an input color space.
