<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a labor hour for measuring a long object by a ruler and selling the long object, and prevent the long object from being erroneously measured during a measurement if the long object is sold by measure although a conventional long object such as a rope and a ring chain does not have marks per meter unit at a regular interval. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The long object such as the rope (1) and the ring chain (2) is provided with the marks (3) per meter unit at the regular interval which are clearly determined at a glance, and confirmed at both cut ends if the long object is cut.
