<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power generation system and a generator efficient in terms of environment and resources by using ecological energy which dose not influence the environment in power generation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This power generation system includes: a rail structure having inclination; a power generating structure including at least a rotating mechanism to be rotated with lowering on the rail structure, a power converting mechanism for converting the rotating force generated in the rotating mechanism to power, and a storage portion for storing power obtained by conversion; and a hoisting structure arranged near the rail structure to convert a water flow to the hoisting force by using the water flow.
