<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film inspecting device 1 capable of always keeping the flaw measuring position of a translucent film 4 constant with respect to a camera and capable of accurately measuring the flaw of the translucent film 4. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The film inspecting device 1 includes a support roller 2 for feeding the translucent film 4 while supporting the same on a contact part, a light source 3 for irradiating the film 4 with light on the contact part and a camera 5 for detecting the light 6 applied to the film 4 from the light source 3 to be transmitted through the film 4 and preferably equipped with a pair of film controlling rollers 7 and 8 for holding the film 4 before and/or behind the contact part of the film 4 in a film feeding direction.
