PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new 5,6,7,8-tetra-substituted-1,4-dialkoxy-5,8-epoxy-2,3-dicyano-5,8-dihydronaphthalene derivative (1) in which the 5 to 8-positions of the 2,3-dicyanonaphthalene ring are substituted with various kinds of hydrocarbon groups or the like, and to provide its production method.
