PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressing machine in which the movement (misalignment) of a material does not occur just before a press formation or at the early stage of the press formation, and the need of a correction process for the misalignmet is eliminated. SOLUTION: The pressing machine has an upper die (1) and a lower die (2). A holding portion (blank holder 3) for holding the pressing material is provided in the lower die (2). The pressing machine also has a material holding mechanism (material clamping mechanism 4) for holding the pressing material (P) by being pressed to the holding portion (3).
