On the top end of a slightly tapering tower (2) there is a power house casing (PHC) (3) for retaining a generator (4) for a wind power plant. Near an outwardly open end (5) of the PHC there is ventilating fan (VF) (6) in the form of an axial fan that sucks in cool air from outside and feeds it into the PHC to cool the generator fitted on axis to the VF. An independent claim is also included for a wind power plant with a power house casing to house a generator and a ventilating fan to cool the generator.
