The multi-pass turbine housing (10) has two flow passes which surround a turbine wheel (12) and are divided from each other by a partition wall (20). The partial flows of the flow passes meet each other in a mixing area, particularly a main nozzle of the turbine housing. The diameter of the mixing area, radially limited by the partition wall, lies in the range of 1.25 times to 1.45 times the turbine wheel diameter (d-TR). An independent claim is also included for a method for exhaust gas recirculation with a multi-pass turbine housing for a turbocharger.
