<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve light-emitting intensity of a light-emitting device by containing an optical multilayer film and a wavelength conversion member. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a substrate 1, a light-emitting element 2, and sealing member 3, and further an optical multilayer film 4 and a wavelength conversion member 5. The substrate 1 has an upper recess. The light-emitting element 2 is packaged on the bottom of the recess and radiates first-order light. The sealing member 3 is adhered to the light-emitting element 2 and is provided inside the recess. The optical multilayer film 4 is partially provided at a surrounding area on an upper surface of the sealing member 3.
