PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a content position estimating device that allows the mapping of a content described by an ambiguous expression without address information and spot names on a map. SOLUTION: The content position estimating device includes: a first acquisition means 100 for acquiring a content as a target for the estimation of a position to be mapped; a storage means 103 for storing map information including the position information of an area specified as a position to be mapped of a known content of text including words for each word of texts of one or more pieces of the known content in which positions to be mapped are known; a dividing means 110 for dividing the text of the acquired content for each word; a second acquisition means 112 for acquiring map information corresponding to the divided word from the storage means; a generating means 111 for generating composite map information by compositing a plurality of pieces of acquired map information; and a determination means 113 for determining the position having the largest number of overlapping positions to be mapped in the composite map information as the position to be mapped of the acquired content.
