PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can immediately distinguish a sheet of recording paper on which an image is printed using a decoloring ink, and can also immediately distinguish a sheet of recycled paper printed with the decoloring ink even if the decoloring ink is erased. SOLUTION: The image forming device can form an image using a decoloring ink which loses a color by heating and a non-decoloring ink which does not lose a color by heating. The image forming device include an image generation section for generating image data, a printing section for printing the image data generated in the image generation section on a sheet of recording paper, an ink specifying section for specifying either a decoloring ink or a non-decoloring ink as an ink for printing the image data, and a symbol adding section for adding a symbol showing that the image data have been formed using the decoloring ink outside an image data forming range based on the ink specification result by the ink specifying section.
