<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient disk insertion space and to move a turntable unit with a simple configuration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A lifting frame 11 moves up and down about a rod 9 near a disk slot. A holding member is swingably attached to front end of the lifting frame 11. The holding member supports a turntable unit 13 for holding a disk. A driven slider has a lifting cam groove to which a lifting pin of the lifting frame 11 is fitted. A loading slider has a swinging cam groove to which a swinging pin of the holding member is fitted to raise and lower the holding member. When the lifting frame 11 swings down from a read/write position to a lowered position, the holding member inclines from the lifting frame 11 so as to place the turntable unit 13 substantially parallel to a disk carrying direction.
