<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire treads, which gives the tire treads having improved dry grip performance just after travel start, its high sustainability, and improved abrasion resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This rubber composition for the tire treads comprises 100 pts.wt. of a dienic rubber containing a styrene-butadiene rubber having a styrene content of ≥30 wt.% in an amount of ≥70 wt.%, 80 to 150 pts.wt. of carbon black having a nitrogen adsorption specific surface area of 250 to 450 m<SP>2</SP>/g, 10 to 50 pts.wt. of polyisoprene having a number-average mol.wt. of 20,000 to 60,000, and 10 to 50 pts.wt. of an aromatic modified terpene rein having a softening point of 80 to 130°C.
