<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water purifier having a high-performance cartridge and a cartridge for a water purifier which can be manufactured at a low cost while maintaining a filtration flow rate at a constant value or more. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The water purifier comprises an outer case for storing purified water, an inner case mounted to the outer case to temporarily retain raw water, and a cartridge detachably attached to the inner case. The cartridge has a filter medium packed part for retaining a filter medium in a shape of a cylinder. One of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the filter medium packed part is provided with a raw water inflow port, and the other is provided with a purified water outflow port, and the bottom surface is provided with a purified water outflow port. The cartridge for the water purifier has the filter medium packed part for retaining a filter medium in a shape of a cylinder. One of the inner and outer peripheral surfaces of the filter medium packed part is provided with the raw water inflow port, and the other is provided with the purified water outflow port, and the bottom surface is provided with the purified water outflow port.
