<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of creases in sewn material body to which a loop material is sewn, and to prevent the occurrence of sewing defect when the loop material is sewn to the sewn material body by surely supplying the loop material to an intended position. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This device includes: a motor 26h for turnably driving a fork member 25; and an encoder 22 for measuring the torque of the motor 26h. A control means 17 monitors the torque of the motor 26h measured by the encoder 22 during turning of the fork member 25, and controls a Y-direction moving mechanism 12 to move the fork member 25 in the longitudinal direction of the loop material 20 and also in a turned direction of the other end part 20b of the loop material 20 by turning of the fork member 25 when the torque amounts to a reference value or more to cause excessive friction between the fork member 25 and the other end part 20b of the loop material 20 held by the fork member 25 due to turning of the fork member 25.
