<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine which permits: one rotary reel which can be stopped and other rotary reels which cannot be stopped to appear when the count of a counting means is a prescribed number; the validity/invalidity of the stopping operation to be easily set; and the playability of the stopping operation to be varied. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A stopping operation validity control means (160) is formed so as not to permit one rotary reel (40) from among the rotary reels (40) to be stopped unless the count of the counting means (150) becomes the prescribed number, and not to permit the other rotary reels (40) to be rotatively stopped when the count is the prescribed number.
