<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new insect-catching tool without the need of spraying an insecticide, without staining the surroundings, and without staining hands of a user. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The insect-catching tool includes: a cylindrical body divided into a first chamber and second chamber by a partition wall with an opening; an insect-capturing bag housed in the first chamber, and opened to the side opposite to the partition wall; a cylinder housed in the second chamber; an insect suction tube mounted on the body so as to communicate with the opening provided at the end on the side opposite to the partition wall of the first chamber; a spring for pressing the cylinder to the side opposite to the side of the partition wall; and an engaging means for holding such a state that the cylinder is pressed to the side of the partition wall against spring force of the spring. The insect-catching tool is formed so that the engagement of the engaging means is released to move the cylinder to the side opposite to the partition wall to thereby suck insects together with air into the insect suction tube and collect the insects in the insect-capturing bag.
