<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communications apparatus, with which a rescue team can easily grasp the position of a user, even when an earthquake occurs, after the reception of an emergency earthquake prompt announcement and houses are broken down. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Counting of a timer is started, after the reception of an emergency earthquake prompt announcement (steps S210-S240) and if there is no key operation until the timer counts a prescribed time, buzzer tones are sounded (YES in step S280, step S290).
