<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing method capable of imparting a high glossiness and uniformity thereof to an image, and capable of preventing a color from being dark and dull and being electrostatically color-shifted on the image, and capable of preventing an electrostatic offset. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fixing method fixes a toner image on a recording medium, by rotatingly driving a stretched belt 1, by pressurizing heatingly the recording medium 6 formed with the toner image, while holding the recording medium 6 to contact closely with the belt, and by cooling thereafter the recording medium under the condition where the recording medium contacts closely with the belt. In the fixing method, a thickness (T) (μm) of the belt is within a range of 50≤T≤130, the toner image is formed of a color toner and a colorless toner, a chroma C* and a lightness L* of a colorless toner molding are within a range of 0.0≤C*≤15.0 and 88.0≤L*≤100.0, and a storage elastic modulus average value G'(T70) of the color toner at 70°C, a storage elastic modulus average value G'(T170) of the color toner at 170°C, a storage elastic modulus G'(C70) of the colorless toner at 70°C, and a storage elastic modulus G'(C170) of the colorless toner at 170°C, satisfy relations of 0.6<G'(T70)/G'(C70)<3.0, 1.0<G'(T170)/G'(C170)<100.0, and 1.0≤G'(C170)≤500.0.
