PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition effectively preventing a possibility of causing color unevenness due to lye or resin deposited on a substrate when applying a plaster wall material for finishing. SOLUTION: The aqueous primer composition includes dolomite plaster, a cationic acrylic emulsion, an inorganic material with water absorbency and oil absorbency, and aggregate. The cationic acrylic emulsion has a Tg of 5°C or lower. A weight ratio [dolomite plaster/aggregate] is 1/1 to 1/6. A weight ratio [dolomite plaster/cationic acrylic emulsion] is 1/0.1 to 1/1.
