METHOD FOR CREATING IMAGE FOR MELANOMA DIAGNOSIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for creating images for melanoma diagnosis which enables melanoma diagnosis by using spectral analysis in a non-invasive manner and objectively discriminating melanoma from melanin. SOLUTION: Principal component analysis is performed in a predetermined wavelength region with respect to an absorbance spectrum of pixel data for finding loading vectors. The absorbance spectrum of the pixel data is projected onto the loading vectors for finding a first score, a second score and a third score. Four binarized images are created on the basis of combination of four values, i.e. positive and negative values of the second score and positive and negative values of the third score in the pixel data and their position information. Angles θ12and θ13of the pixel data are found from the first score, second score and third score. A color image which shows the magnitude of the angle θ12or θ13is created on the basis of the angle θ12or θ13of the pixel data and its position information. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
