Provided are an apparatus for generating atmospheric pressure plasma and a method for generating atmospheric pressure plasma using same. The apparatus for generating atmospheric pressure plasma according to the present invention comprises: a microwave waveguide; and a dielectric tube which is fitted in the waveguide, and receives torch gas to generate plasma. The waveguide has a constant diameter, and has a curved end. As the waveguide according to the present invention has a constant diameter, the manufacturing process can be simplified, and junctions among waveguides are reduced to prevent problems caused by foreign substances introduced during a microwave discharge or joining process. Furthermore, as the waveguide of the present invention has a curved end, microwaves reflected from the curve are further intensified. By moving the curve, users may easily recognize the point at which the maximum electric field is generated.
