METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING VIDEO STREAMING SCHEDULING

PURPOSE: A video streaming scheduling method and an apparatus thereof are provided, which offer the video streaming scheduling in consideration of the network performance and media attribute at the same time by using the selective extraction and control of packet. CONSTITUTION: A video streaming server(1000) constitutes a sub scheduling window through the media attribute through the characteristic analysis of the network performance and video streaming packet according to available bandwidth of IP(Internet Protocol) based wire/wireless networks(2000). A client terminal(3000) distinguishes the media attribute of the received video streaming packet. According to the determined media characteristic, the client terminal transmits the retransmission request feedback message to the video streaming server.
