PURPOSE: A can compressing apparatus is provided to improve durability and service life by preventing damage to the apparatus due to overload by repetitively compressing the can through a cam structure. CONSTITUTION: A can compressing apparatus(100) comprises a body(110), a collecting container(111), a support plate(120), a guide shaft(130), a pressing tool(140), a cam-shaft(150), a cover(180), and a drive member. The collecting container is located on the lower part of the discharge hole of the body. The support plate is located on the top of the discharge hole. The support plate contacts can and supports the can. The guide shaft longitudinally moves from the top of the body. The pressing tool compresses the can in the direction of the support plate. The cam-shaft is rotatably installed on one side of the upper part of the body while being inserted into a through-hole(131) of the guide shaft. The cam-shaft moves the guide shaft forward and backward in a reciprocating motion. An insert port(182) of a cover supplies the can to the discharge hole. The drive member rotates the cam-shaft.
