PAPER CUTTING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper cutting device that can reduce an occurrence of a cutting failure of a stack of paper by utilizing a blade rest effectively and can extend a life of the blade rest.

SOLUTION: A paper cutting device has a control means controlling a stop position of a blade when cutting, the control means controlling a travel distance of the blade from a standby position to a stop position on a cutting area so as to enlarge the distance according to the increase of cutting frequency. The cutting device has a shift means to shift a blade rest member in the direction intersecting with the cutting edge of the blade, while the control means shifts the blade rest member using the shift means and to reset the travel distance up to the stop potion to an initial value when the control means determined that the travel distance up to the blade stop position exceeds a prescribed upper limit value.
