Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the ring laser gyro that includes a dither mechanism for angularly oscillating the a gyro block, a laser beam is oscillated and propagated in both directions in a ring-shaped optical path in the gyro block; the oscillation frequency difference of two laser beams is generated by an angular velocity input, and an interference fringe generated by the superposition of the two laser beams is detected by a photodetector to detect the angular velocity, the ring laser gyro includes: a light intensity detector for detecting the beam intensity of the laser beam; a beam intensity time differential operating section for time-differentiating the beam intensity detected by the light intensity detector; and a beam intensity correction operating part, to which the beam intensity detected by the light intensity detector, the beam intensity time differential value operated by the beam intensity time differential operation part, and the angular velocity detected by the photodetector are input and which outputs the corrected angular velocity, after the correction operation is performed.
