PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric apparatus for cleaning, wherein stains and so on in a separation device can be removed in the correct order. SOLUTION: A separating appratus (18) for an electric appliance for cleaning has a separator (19) which separates dust and dirt from fluid flow, and a collection chamber (20) which is arranged so that it collects the dust and the dirt separated by the separator. A first catch (37) which opens a closure member (35) of the collection chamber and first release means (41, 42, 43) which release the catch are provided. A second catch (47) which releases the collection chamber from the separator and a second release means (48) which releases the second catch are provided.
