PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pedestal with a dummy cover for attaching an on-vehicle device for satisfactorily remounting the on-vehicle device to be used again while presenting a smart appearance without deteriorating the good appearance of an original mounting part even when the on-vehicle device is removed for, e.g., temporarily stopping the usage of the on-vehicle device. SOLUTION: The pedestal with the dummy cover includes the plate-shaped pedestal 1, and the dummy cover 2 for covering the pedestal 1. A double-sided adhesive tape 3 is attached on a rear surface of the pedestal 1, and an adhesive sheet 4 is attached to a front surface. The dummy cover 2 is formed into a shape of, e.g., an aperture cover of a loudspeaker. The pedestal 1 is adhered to a predetermined position of a dashboard, and the dummy cover 2 covers the pedestal 1 to form a substantially flat dummy shape when the on-vehicle device is not mounted. When the on-vehicle device is to be mounted, the dummy cover 2 is removed from the pedestal 1, a support bracket of the device is adhered and fixed to the pedestal 1, and the on-vehicle device is fitted to the support bracket.
