PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing reel capable of smoothly conducting the basic operations for fishing such as making a mechanism descend by reeling a fishline with a spool made free and unreeling the fishline. SOLUTION: The fishing reel 4 includes: a top face 6a to put a hand on; a reel body 5 put on a mounting face 3a; a spool 34 provided in front of the top face of the reel body and to be unreeled with a fishline 35; and a motor 44 provided on the reel body and rotating the spool unreelingly the fishline. In the fishing reel, in front of the top face of the reel body, there are provided a first operator element 22a to be manually operated with a fingertip to drive the motor and so as to rotate the spool, and a second operator element 22b to be manually operated with a fingertip so as to make a free rotation of the spool; wherein the first operator element is provided on either one of the right and left sides of the second operator element.
