<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley unit constructed by suppressing its bearing durability deterioration. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The pulley unit 1 and the pulley hub 3 installed inside thereof are relatively supported rotatably by a bearing 4; a flange 7 and retaining ring 8 are arranged in an internal diameter surface of the pulley 1; a fixed cam disk 9 which is so attached to the pulley hub 3 as to prevent rotation and prevented from moving outward in axial direction by the retaining ring 8, and a movable cam disk 10 which can be rotated with respect to the pulley 1 and is supported movably in axial direction are installed between the flange 7 and retaining ring 8; a torque cam 14 which moves the movable cam disk 10 in a direction separating from the fixed cam disk 9 through a relative rotation between both cam disks is arranged in a facing space between the fixed cam disk 9 and movable cam disk 10; and a multiple-disk frictional clutch and an elastic member 30 biasing the multiple-disk frictional clutch toward the movable cam disk 10 are installed between the movable cam disk 10 and flange 7.
