PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF POLYCYANURATE

A process for the preparation of polycyanurate consists in high-temperature polycyclotrimerization of bisphenol cyanic ester in the presence of catalyst. The curing reaction is carried out under such conditions 150 °C for 5 hours + 180 °C for 0.1-3 hours and is terminated at monomer conversion degree of 90-95%. After the termination of curing reaction the monomer residue not reacted is extracted from the formed film of polycyanurate network with subsequent drying in vacuum at a temperature of 50 °C.
