PURPOSE: A DMB receiver deciding the location of a DMB receiver, and a channel-setup method of the same are provided to control operating state of the DMB receiver according to a result. CONSTITUTION: A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) receiver(100) comprises a GPS(Global Positioning System) module(110), a comparison unit(120) and a controller(130). The GPS module senses the current position of the DMB receiver. The comparison unit stores data about the service area of DMB in a preset region. The comparison unit determines whether the detected location of the GPS module is within the service area or not. According to the decision result of the comparison unit, the controller controls the operation state of the DMB receiver. |
