PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To preferentially arrange valid content across a plurality of categories in a compact picture in the form of a list.

SOLUTION: This information processing apparatus is provided with a display control part for displaying a list picture on which the list of the thumb nails of a plurality of contents is displayable and a storage part for storing meta data showing the attributes of each content. The display control part determines the number of displays of content of every category based on the upper limit number of displays on the list picture and the display rate of every category of the content, and displays the thumb nails of the content selected according to the number of displays of the content and the meta data stored in the storage part on the list picture.
