PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide seat device for a vehicle automatically locking a seat slid in a state the memory function is made effective to a predetermined position without performing a special operation. SOLUTION: The slide seat device for a vehicle includes memory mechanisms 35, 82, 85 becoming the memory state storing the position of an upper rail 18 in operation when an operation means 52 is operated and becoming the non-memory state not storing the memorized position when the operation means is not operated, unlock retaining mechanisms 42, 57 retaining a slide lock mechanism in the unlocked state when the operation means is operated, and first lock returning means 65, 91 shifting the slide lock mechanism made in the unlocked state by the unlock retaining mechanism to the locked state when the upper rail moves to a predetermined position behind the memorized position.
