PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an insert-detachable tapering tool capable of surely preventing a component from coming out during ultra-high speed rotation. SOLUTION: An insert 4 is detachably mounted to an insert attachment seat 3 formed around a circumference of a tip of an approximately disk-like tool body 1. In addition, an insert fixing wedge 7 is attached for pressing to fix the insert 4 to a first recess 5 formed adjacently to the insert attachment seat 3 in the circumferential direction of the tool body 1. An insert adjustment wedge 8 for pressing the insert 4 toward a tip in a direction of an axis line O to adjust the position of a cutting blade 4A is put on a second recess 6 formed adjacent to the rear end in the axial direction of the insert attachment seat 3. An insert-detachable face milling cutter 20 is thus constituted. A through hole 10 is formed at the insert fixing wedge 8. A retaining hole 11 communicating with the through hole 10 is formed at the tool body 1. An end of a pin 12 pressure-fitted into the through hole 10 is inserted into the retaining hole 11.
