PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve one-to-many simultaneous multiplex communication with high utilization efficiency of a frequency band. SOLUTION: A master station divides an orthogonal subcarrier within a communication band into a plurality of subcarrier groups and allocates them to a plurality of slave stations. Using the allocated subcarrier groups, the master station transmits OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) symbols to each of the slave stations. In synchronism with the timing of the OFDM symbols, each of the slave stations transmits the OFDM symbols to the master station simultaneously. The master station and each slave station demodulate transmitted OFDM signals by subtracting already known signal components transmitted by the present station from received signal components in order to cancel the transmission signals of the present station which have sneaked into a transmission path.
