PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method for simply obtaining a polyoxyalkylene adduct of good quality. SOLUTION: The method for producing the polyoxyalkylene adduct includes a step (I) for obtaining a propylene oxide adduct by adding propylene oxide to a specific alcohol in the presence of an alkali catalyst; a step (II) for obtaining a reaction product containing a polyoxyalkylene adduct by adding ethylene oxide, in the presence of an alkali catalyst, to the propylene oxide adduct obtained by the step (I); and a step (III) for neutralizing with lactic acid the alkali catalyst in the reaction product obtained by the step (II).
