<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display unit structure capable of preventing float caused between a Fresnel lens sheet and a lenticular lens sheet and capable of maintaining a resolution feeling, and to provide a projection display device with the display unit structure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The display unit includes a suction means for sucking outside air in the internal space of the display unit, and has almost hermetically sealed structure excepting a suction port for sucking the outside air in the suction means. Air pressure inside the display unit becomes higher than outside air pressure, and the Fresnel lens sheet is pressed against the lenticular lens sheet, whereby a gap between both sheets is reduced. Thus, the degradation of resolution feeling in an image is prevented in temperature/humidity environment in a wide range, thereby providing the image having high resolution feeling.
