<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide footwear capable of constantly keeping a user's foot safe and clean. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This footwear 100 includes: a footwear body 1 having a tightening section 14 using a string 142; and a cover member 2 inseparably provided at the footwear body 1 and capable of taking a covering attitude (c) covering the tightening section 14 in close contact with the footwear body 1, and an open attitude (o) leaving the tightening section 14 open. This constitution can effectively save the trouble of attaching/detaching the cover without the user losing the cover so as to constantly easily cover the tightening section 14 and consequently allows the user to suitably apply it at a working site where the user needs to pay carefull attention to cover the tightening section 14.
